Alabama Transportation Planners Association
The Alabama Transportation Planners Association (ATPA) provides a forum for metropolitan planning organizations (MPO) and rural planning organizations (RPO) located in the State of Alabama. Through the ATPA, these organizations are able to:
· Exchange information and experiences
· Enhance their understanding of the metropolitan and rural transportation planning processes
· Participate in educational opportunities
· Discuss issues relevant to local, state, and federal policies and requirements for transportation planning
The ATPA promotes both the art and the science of professional transportation planning in the State of Alabama, and provides an opportunity for state and federal agencies to interact and collaborate with Alabama's MPOs and RPOs, providing information, and offering guidance on a variety of transportation related issues.
